The History of WCV
Willow Creek Veterinary Service, P.C. is a clinic in a long succession of clinics in Pierce. Our name is derived from the influence of the Willow Creek that runs through Pierce County and fills the Willow Creek Lake. The Willow Creek has been a long standing fixture in the community and through the years has been an important life source for the crops, pastures, and ultimately for the area livestock. As the area has evolved, the Willow Creek now serves not only for agriculture but also for recreation. By using the Willow Creek name, we hope that we can be the same valuable resource for our agriculture producers as the creek has been for so many years. Even as the Willow Creek has evolved, our clinic’s focus has also evolved to the point where we work hard to serve our companion animal patients as well as our agriculture patients equally.
The clinic we are in today was constructed in December 2002. The clinic was designed with both our large and small animal patients in mind. Of the 4900 square feet of inside our building over half of it is dedicated to our small animal patients. At Willow Creek Veterinary Service, P.C. we believe that dogs and cats have different needs so we currently have two small animal exam rooms, one dedicated more for canines and the other dedicated more for felines. In addition to our separate exam rooms, we also provide separate boarding/hospitalization facilities for our canine and feline patients. Our grooming facilities are adjacent to our boarding kennels and our surgery suite is adjacent to our large treatment area. Along with our facilities, we try to add a new technology every year so that we can modernize and upgrade our quality of care for our patients.
